Pay scale: 23 to 30 point scale

Hours: 37 hours per week
Year Manager x 2 CDI from July or September 2022.
37 hours per week, part-time only (which includes 3 days of training) plus 5 days.
NJC scale points 23-30 (depending on experience) £28,226 – £34,373 prorated, actual salary £24,426 – £29,746.
Newhouse Academy is a comprehensive secondary school, located just off the M60 in the town of Heywood.
As part of the Hollingworth Learning Trust, we work closely with our partner school, Hollingworth Academy, (an outstanding local secondary school); and are on the path of improving the school to deliver increasing academic standards. Newhouse Academy has been chosen as one of 50 schools to secure government funding for building development, which will see many brand new facilities for students and the local community in the near future. We have a fabulous team of staff, excellent learning facilities and improved GCSE results in many subjects.
We are recruiting two year directors to join the dedicated and talented pastoral team within our academy. This is an open-ended contract starting July 2022 or September 1, 2022.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience as a year leader or 3 years of pastoral experience, working in an educational setting
- Encourage students to have high expectations of themselves in their learning, attendance, and behavior
- Demonstrate a flexible approach to their tasks
- Be confident and proactive
- Have excellent organizational skills
- Have values in line with the academy priorities of Aspiration, Integrity and Respect
