We are looking for a creative marketing apprentice! You will play a lead role in employer and learner engagement through social media communications, website management support and coordination of marketing activities.

Rochdale Training has an exciting vacancy for a Marketing Apprentice. We are looking for an apprentice with dynamism and enthusiasm to join our successful team. We are looking to train the right person to support our social media, help with website design and maintain our online social platforms with the aim of taking on new apprentices in Rochdale and Greater Manchester.

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will include:

– General office administrative tasks – help prepare for internal marketing events e.g. open houses, registration

-Participate in careers and progression events of partner schools, e.g. job fairs, open houses

-Contribute ideas to social media communications – Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and others

-Contribute, maintain and develop material for publication on our website

– Liaise with various staff to source, produce and distribute press releases.

-Flexible work that will involve working evenings

– Work within a small marketing team

– Advertise our vacancies for apprentices on our website, the national apprenticeship website and with local partners.

– Creation of digital banners for the website

– SEO of the site and general update

– Social media management

– Promotion of the company on and off-line

– Meet new learners onsite and offsite at local events with schools, community groups and partners

– Creation of digital campaigns on different digital platforms

– Regularly publish content on social networks

– Design engaging email campaigns

-Analysis of digital campaigns and reporting to your line manager

Full training provided.

Permanent employment and next-level training for the right candidate.

£4.81 per hour to be reviewed after the initial training period.

You will progress to Level 3 Marketing Assistant Learning. Day release at an approved training provider in central Manchester.

Required Skills

  • Excellent written English, including impeccable spelling and grammar.
  • Exceptional proofreading skills
  • You will need to be a competent and persuasive writer who can cover a variety of topics and command attention throughout the article.
  • Good sense of organization.
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Happy to work in a team.
  • Motivated and able to organize his time.
  • Ability to research and absorb information on a variety of topics.

Personal qualities


GCSE English 4+

A ‘Level of English is highly desirable.
