FABRICATION AND WELDING INSTRUCTOR REQUIRED
Rochdale Training specializes in engineering and training young apprentices in Greater Manchester.
We work with all levels of learners and all sizes of businesses across the North West.
We are looking to recruit a Fabrication and Welding Instructor for our engineering workshop in Rochdale.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE WORK
Instruct and assess learners in the fabrication and welding department to develop their skills and knowledge.
Train and assess learners in all aspects required to achieve manufacturing and welding units within the scope of engineering operations qualification (skills).
Teach and assess specialist units in the City & Guilds Fabrication & Welding qualification. This includes maintaining discipline, safe work practices, communication skills, and how to work effectively and efficiently.
To complete documentation from the awarding body.
Encourage learners until they are 100% confident in each task.
Promoting equality and diversity and British values.
Commit to safeguarding/prevention and the well-being of all learners.
Maintain and develop innovative training materials and methods.
Integrate functional skills.
Use the ePortfolio system and contribute to Rochdale Training’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).
Establish a work system for learners.
To help learners successfully reach levels 2 & 3 or City & Guilds. This includes additional exercises so learners can become more confident and knowledgeable while working on their assessment assignments.
Develop learning resources.
Integrate the delivery of math and English skills.
Supervise all fabrication and welding department learners and supervision tasks throughout the workshop.
Maintain facilities and machinery as far as possible.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Candidate having ideally;
An engineering apprenticeship
Up-to-date professional skill in fabrication and welding
