gENERAL DREGISTRATION

The essential function of the position within the organization is to record and digitally transcribe legal proceedings and hearings. The position is responsible for the digital recording and annotation of legal proceedings and hearings; transcription of recordings; and conduct research. This position may be based in Alachua or Gilchrist County. If you are based in Alachua County, you will need to travel to Levy and Gilchrist counties.

KNOWLEDGE, SYOU ARE BEAUTIFUL, ACAPACITIES

Must have strong written and oral communication skills. Resourceful, able to multitask and able to prioritize assigned tasks. Type at least 55 words per minute. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Use judgment and discretion regarding confidential information. Able to monitor and annotate court proceedings live or previously recorded. Ability to perform clerical duties, such as keeping logbooks and weekly reports. Able to transcribe digitally recorded hearings, proofread, edit and prepare final transcripts. Generate duplicate audio recordings of trials and hearings for lawyers, government agencies and the public. On-the-job training available.

EEDUCATION AND EEXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED and one year of college or professional studies in office automation, computer science or a closely related field.

SALARY AND BADVANTAGES

The salary is $ 31,780.91 / year. Benefits offered by the State of Florida.
