Job Offer: Atlanta Braves Player Development Video & Information Trainee


Position: Video and player development information intern

Reports to: Minor League Video Coordinator

Job overview:
The Video and Player Development Information Intern will provide a service to an Atlanta Braves affiliate by tracking live baseball games and providing video and information to coaches, coordinators and front office staff of the Braves . This role manages all aspects of the assigned Affiliate’s video, technology and advanced scouting operations and aims to provide an experience that prepares the ideal candidate for a future role in the baseball industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Capture and track video for every game in an assigned affiliate’s full Minor League schedule (home games and team trips to road games, playoffs included)
  • Manage a network of cameras configured to collect high quality video from multiple angles
  • Attach, edit and download video after each match daily
  • Assist in the deployment and use of all Braves technology equipment in the assigned branch
  • Support coaching staff / players with ad hoc video / technology requests as assigned
  • Participate in the advanced affiliate screening process and produce associated material for coaching staff
  • Attend a game of the Braves Spring Training Camp in Venice, Florida to get training on all video, tech and advanced applications
  • Participate in periodic calls with the Atlanta Baseball Operations Group
  • Other assigned tasks

Qualifications required:

  • Previous experience as a baseball coach / player (high school, college or professional preferred)
  • Knowledge of baseball rules, scoring and statistics
  • Exceptional verbal communication and computer skills
  • Proactive, organized and detail-oriented person who can prioritize their workload and follow-up with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Willing to relocate to a minor league branch of the Braves from mid-March to mid-September
  • The ability to safely lift and transport equipment weighing 25 lbs. or more
  • The ability to climb ladders and successfully place equipment from varying positions and heights
  • Flexible schedule: able to work nights, weekends and holidays
  • Licence
  • Able to pass a background check
